Chris wrote C'mon Lady out of an interest in two things... Firstly, the creative process itself, figuring out what it would take to write, perform and record an original track.
Secondly, he wanted to gain a deeper understanding of his daughter, who is a recording artist in her own right.
But if he is honest, most of all Chris just wanted to tell his smart speaker to play his own tune!
The track developed from a moment of accidental creativity with the chords, through close collaboration with producer John Robertson and overcoming a fear of the studio, to layering the drums, keys and vocal production whilst having fun throughout the process.
The end result is a track that is a celebration of creativity for its own sake... have a listen here and let us know what you think.
